Although Stronghold: Definitive Edition has been thoroughly tested, a small number of players may experience technical issues.

Before sending us a support ticket please verify your Stronghold: Definitive Edition game files:

Steam

  1. Login to the Steam client
  2. Within 'Library', right-click on Stronghold: Definitive Edition and select 'Properties'
  3. Select the 'Installed Files' tab and click the 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache...' button.
  4. Steam will check all the game files were downloaded correctly.

This process may take several minutes. If any files are missing then Steam will download them the next time you run the game.

 

If that does not solve the issue please send us a support ticket with the following information:

 

  • A detailed description of the issue you are experiencing
  • Any save games or map files that may help us recreate the issue (if relevant)
  • Screenshots or a short video of the issue if possible (25mb maximum)
  • The Player.log file which is located here C:\Users\{username}\AppData\LocalLow\Firefly Studios\Stronghold 1 Definitive Edition\Maps.  Alternatively click on the "Open Settings Folder" within the in-game "Game Options" to open the folder. 
  • A Dxdiag file containing your system information:
  1. Click on the Windows START button and type "dxdiag" and press Enter
  2. Within the DirectX Diagnostics Tool click on "Save All Information"
  3. Save DxDiag.txt file and send it to us
