Once the required rank has been reached and enough resources have been collected, you can upgrade the Stockpile, Granary and the Armoury.

If you have not yet met the required ranks to upgrade these buildings you can simply discard unwanted items. To discard items, simply tap on the item you wish to discard and use the slider to determine how many you wish to discard.
