Some players have reported that the game fails to launch with a KERNALBASE.dll error reported in the Windows Event Viewer.

 

Often this error occurs because of a problem with the current Windows local user account.  The best way to fix this is to create a new local user account using the following instructions:

Run Stronghold Crusader 2 in the new local user account and the game should now launch correctly.
