We have had some tickets from players reporting that the mouse cursor in SH2/SHL will start lagging and the game framerate will drop to abnormally low levels after a period of time playing the game.  From the reports we have seen this may be more likely to happen if you are using a mice with a high polling rate.

This issue appears to have been caused by a previous Nvidia driver update and there are a number of other games affected by this update.  We have contacted Nvidia and are hoping they may issue a fix at some point in the future.  In the meantime please try the following workarounds...

1) Stop the "NVIDIA Display Container LS" service
The primary cause appears to be the "NVIDIA Display Container LS" service.  To disable the "NVIDIA Display Container LS" service please follow these steps...

1. Press Win+R
2. Type Services.msc and press Enter to open the Services window.
3. Search for NVIDIA Display Container LS. Press the first letter N to help locate this.
4. Right click on NVIDIA Display Container LS and click on Stop.
5. Close the Services window and run the games as normal.

NOTE: Stopping the NVIDIA Display Container LS service may prevent the Nvidia Control Panel from opening. To restart the service repeat the steps above but select Start instead of Stop.

If stopping the "NVIDIA Display Container LS" service does not fix the issue then please try these alternative workarounds...

2) Mouse Polling Rate
Open the Mouse software provided by your manufacturer and locate the Mouse Polling rate. Lower the polling rate e.g. if the Mouse Polling is set to 1,000 try lowering to 125.  NOTE: This option is not available in the Windows Mouse settings.

3) Graphics Card Driver
Some players have reported that the issue seemed to be introduced when they upgraded their Nvidia Graphics Card driver. Downgrading to 457.30 may fix the issue.

Although this has mainly affected players with Nvidia graphics cards, we are aware that some players with Intel graphics cards may also experience the slowdown.  We do not currently have a workaround for Intel users.

If you experience this issue please send us a support ticket with the following information...

- the game you are having problems in
- how long you have experienced this problem for (is it a new issue or has it always been an issue?)
- your mouse make and model
- your graphics card model and driver version
- attach your dxdiag
