We need your help!

We have had a number of reports of an issue that causes a corruption of the crusader.cfg file (located in the "stronghold crusader" in Documents).  The corruption causes the following issues...

1. The "Skip Current Mission" chicken button stops working
2. The Date in the top right corner is wrong
3. The game may crash when trying to enter the Warchest trail

The only known workaround is to delete the corrupted crusader.cfg file.  The game will then create a new crusader.cfg file but all your progress will be lost.  This is obviously not a great workaround.

We cannot repeat the issue internally so we want to try and gather as much information as possible.  If you are experiencing this issue please send a ticket to support including the following file:

Your corrupted \Documents\stronghold crusader\crusader.cfg file

Please could you also answer the following questions...

1. Which trail(s) have you played?
2. How far through the trail are you?
3. Is the progress shown on the map accurate?  i.e. if you have completed 20 skirmish trail missions, are there 20 flags on the map?
4. Have you ever played the Historical Campaigns?
5. Have you ever played a multiplayer game?
6. Have you ever played a custom game with a user created map?
